He’s savage. He’s sinful. He’s everything I told myself I didn’t need.
But for just one night, I’ll give in to temptation. I’ll forget he’s a shapeshifter and that I’m not. I’ll forget the Pack would never approve.
Because after tonight I’m moving. Our paths won’t cross again. Only that one night gives me more than I bargain for and nine months later I deliver a bundle of joy complete with ten tiny fingers and ten perfect toes.
A year and a half later, I’m back. But this wolf is no longer the shifter of my dreams. Now he haunts my nightmares. And what is he going to think when he learns he has a son, one who isn’t a just a wolf?
I’m a hard sell on this series. I’ve given a few of the books a try, and I’m not really blown away. I’d say, if anything, I’m okay with these stories. But nothing more than just okay with them–which is sad because I love shifter books. They are my kryptonite.
As the last full-blooded unmated Royal shifter female, Faith Storm has been sheltered all her life. Her protector, Micah, kept her safe from threats, but that means his life has been on hold while she’s waited for her mate.
When a threat shows in the form of Killian Vilkas, Faith is chased from her home, separated from her sense of comfort. All she has known is gone. Suddenly Faith is out amongst the packs, and the Royal Arctic Wolf finally has the chance to find her mate. But she falls in love with an Alpha before she recognizes who her mate is.
Alpha Hell is really damn good, so I didn’t do badly shopping by the cover.
When Lilith Thornblood’s life becomes quite the pickle, she escapes to the one place the man searching for her won’t look. His domain. The Stormfire Alpha’s territory is in Hell, and Lilith’s decision to hide in plain sight requires assistance.
Cue Caspian Hardling, part shifter, part fae–all babe with an attitude and a loathing for fools. His answer to her problem is the Demon Hunter Trials. And the rest is… well, the story; it’s the cash and prize if you will, so I won’t spoil you.
That is the word that kept coming to mind while reading Shifter Claimed. There wasn’t an abundance of profundity in the story to fall into it, which is just a shame. I felt like there was a single note I was following, but there was so much left to see of the story that was kept from me. Shifter Claimed didn’t feel to me like it was ready to be published yet.
Skylar is a hunter with the guild. She is a mercenary that brings in lawbreakers that the enforcers don’t have time to look for and seize. She’s Buffy-esque but without the oneliners, part wolf, part human–all badass. She’s trying to do her job when she runs into Elias. A being that, clearly, is more than who he says he is and unwilling to admit to anything.
OH, Goodness, woman, you kill me with these cliffhangers. YOU SLAY ME WITH THEM!
I don’t even know where to start. I can’t. My mind is blown.
Sabina’s very naughty mate, Kade, destroyed Shadow at the end of Submission, and now is the Alpha of Shadow pack meaning, he’s split Bean’s sub-pack. Bean starts this book fed up with all of them and needs some time with the women in her life. She tells the boys to figure out their sugar and has Artemis spirit her away to her cousins and Nessa. Thus we begin Seduction. A book in which snack foods are seriously threatened.
Elias, who was voted “Wolf Most Likely to be Sexed-up by Readers,” is the novella’s hero, X-Clan: The Experiment. He gets Daciana, an Ash Wolf omega from the Shadowlands. I’m so very excited because Kale Willams and Sarah Puckett get to read these parts, and the two are so damn good at it that there were times I fell into the story.
The Andorra Sector hasn’t been able to produce its omegas for decades, and because of this, their entire society is endangered. But there is hope for the future if the Ash Wolves are compatible. So the Alpha of the X-Clan and Elias’ best friend Ander Cain have arranged a trade, the experiment. Elias gets Daciana, and if she proves to be compatible, then they will mate.
Kale Williams sounds filthy reading Elias’s parts. It’s compelling, and even though his reading voice is sometimes delivered without a ton of inflection, it sounds even dirtier for it. Sarah Puckett is an excellent counter in Daciana’s voice.
Earth is the first in the Elemental Reverse Harem Quartet, which promises to be a titillating new series by Helen J. Perry.
Malka Selby doesn’t know she’s a witch. The joke is more or less on her because all the men she encounters seems to know who and what she is. And the kinky menagé contest she’s having with her best friend to see who can have the most, the best, is getting lots of fodder as these men seem to make all her dreams come true.
ARGH! And not in a pirate way. I’m so frustrated. What I thought would happen when I read the cliffhanger of Surrender occurred, and I’m not happy about it. I hate delayed gratification. I’m basically a human-cat –we human-cats don’t do that.
Submission introduces mate número cinco. Kade isn’t a full dozen doughnuts, and since Bean can’t help but devour all the doughnuts she sees, she’s a-okay with the whacked-out lycan. But with Kade comes a lesson in how the lycan world really works. That might be more than she is ready for, considering Bean becomes a vampire juice box on the first go. Kade might be crazy, but Sabina must be losing her mind. The Stockholm Syndrome she suffers has her wanting more of the danger that comes with the secrets of her new life.

Welcome to Hellbound High, where the students carry weapons and the bullies bite … hard.
I never wanted to go to this stupid school. I had a life before coming here. A Pack. People who cared about me. But all of that is torn away when my mother dies, my boyfriend cheats on me, and my very human father rips me away from the only life I’ve ever known.
I thought my life couldn’t get much worse, but Hellbound High is about to prove me wrong. Just by showing up, I’ve caught the attention of the local Alpha’s son. Goody.
He’s arrogant, stubborn, and used to getting what he wants. Sometimes that’s to get into my pants. Sometimes it’s to make my life hell. He runs hot one minute and cold the next, leaving my head spinning.
But I have bigger problems than the school’s resident hot werewolf. I’m a lone wolf in a new town, which means I have a big red target on my back.
With no Pack, no friends, and no protection, I’m about to find out just how bad things can really get …
