Ali: Raylene I love your blog and the gallery element is fantastic. Tell me a little about Booknook Reviews.
Raylene: Thank you, Ali. That means a lot!
Booknook Reviews features reviews on some of the sexiest books found in the romance genre. My aim is to unite bookworms while supporting new a d established authors.

Ali: Bloggers have such a difficult job managing and gathering content. What do you most love to post on your blog?
Raylene: I love posting trigger warnings so I can give other readers a heads up.

Ali: My guy suggested earlier that I am in book blogging because I’m a shameless hussy for free books. What inspired you to have a review blog?
Raylene:
1) It was the draw of free books for me too. Hands down. Netgalley’s support articles suggested having a blog as a means to receive free books.
2) I needed something that was just mine. Not my husband’s or my son’s or my employer’s. Just mine.

Ali: Hey guys. Are you all excited about Crew Princess, the next book in your story?
Tijan and Crew: Of course! Hopefully. We’ll see. 🙂

Ali: Tijan do these characters behave when you are writing them or do they take your plans and do whatever the hell they want?
Tijan: Usually not! They do what they want, like all my characters. I let them.

Bren: Tacos!
Cross: What?
Zellman: Don’t make me hate tacos. This question is making me hate tacos.
Jordan: shrugs I don’t care.

Ali: Would you rather have dicks for fingers or a finger for a dick?

Word Slinger Project: ApollyCon Interview with S.J. West

I had the chance to interview S.J. West at ApollyCon 2019. Most of the audio reviews were pretty straightforward and I was happy with how they turned out but this interview in particular was one for which I wish I had video. S.J. West’s facial expressions sold her answers and I cheated you out of the better part of my Yay or No interview with her because it is only audio. I promise that if I ever get the chance to rectify this in the future I will!

Weekly Indie Word Slinger – A.J. Bennett

Word-Slinger-Banner This is the first Word Slinger I’ve done in a very long time and A.J. has been wonderfully patient in my delays. I discovered A.J. when I downloaded her novel Unintentional Virgin and I loved her characters and couldn’t wait to read more of her novels. She blew me away when I found her writing to be incredibly varied and her next two novels to be worlds different; showing her ability to write with an incredible amount of depth and understanding about the human condition. You may find yourself with whiplash moving between her first novel to her second and third books, but the ability for an author to be so versatile is amazing, whether or not it’s your taste. Please, come and meet this Indie Word Slinger! May I introduce, Ms. A.J. Bennett. Continue Reading

Weekly Indie Word Slinger – Stan Morris

Stan-MorrisStan Morris is an Indie author of many books who has enjoyed dabbling in many writing genres. He has claimed to me to be a relic of a past age who is still trying to adapt to the customs of our techno tribe (he didn’t quite put it to me that way, but I know that is what he is saying=)) and I think he’s doing a bang-up job. I forgot to tell him the caveat to teaching him the comment portion of Google Docs was he has to teach me Time Travel. You never get anything for free these days, Stan!

Weekly Indie Word Slinger – Gale Martin

Gale head shot second fave-1I’m beyond amazed by the response I’ve had to the Weekly Indie Word Slinger posting. Thank you all for your interest and I am doing my best to figure out the best way to provide the most exposure and attention I can for you and your books.

My Word Slinger for this week hails from my neck of the woods, or I guess I can say my home neck of the Penn’s Woods. Author of Don Juan in Hankey, Pa, Grace Unexpected and upcoming Who Killed ‘Tom Jones’?, Gale Martin has shown infinite patience while I was flu-ridden and gave me a lot of leeway when I was fearful that I might be very late getting these Weekly Indie Word Slingers out. Thanks, Gale!

Weekly Indie Word Slinger – Nicole Banks

bangs The very first indie author to be featured in my Weekly Indie Word Slinger section is Nicole Banks whose very fast reply landed her deets in my email long before the authors before her. I’m really excited to be featuring authors who are self-publishing and it’s a joy for me to start this year off with such a positive response. I have a few weeks worth of authors who have responded and if I keep receiving emails I will happily put out more frequent posts to accommodate more writers.
