What is more beautiful than a sunset over the ocean or the early blooms of summer? Well some people might say the smile of their child and others might say the ruins of Angkor Wat… for me it’s the defeat of Jack Hunter. To watch the Ice Man fall is a truly a stunning thing and Sara Wolf, I give you two thumbs up and then I will find you more thumbs because you deserve a sea of them. It tickles my tickles that Savage Delight was the delightful inner feelies of a thawing Ice Prince.
Book Boyfriend Report – Friend Is A Four Letter Word by Steph Campbell
Sometimes I buy a book because I love the author. Sometimes I buy a book because I love the cover. Sometimes I buy a book because it’s free. Sometimes it’s a bipolar impulse and I just can’t help myself. And sometimes it’s the title and I think it’s sounds GOOOOOOD and I just gotta have it. This was a few of the above.

Tongue Wagger – Anatomy by Simon Travers
This Tongue Wagger comes from this week’s Word Slinger, Simon Travers. I fear that my poetry critiquing may be fearfully lacking so I will stick solely to the content of Simon’s poetry collection. It’s been fifteen years since I took my poetry course at Penn State University. Mr. Perrone taught me a great deal about poetry as well as writing it– along with writing for business, creative, technical and journalism. He told me to remember a lot of things and the only points that stick out from the many courses I took with him are: how to write a business letter, that knowing Shakespeare might be the difference in getting a job and not getting one, the proper methods of critiquing beyond preference and that when interviewing anyone it is better for both parties if you talk about things that the interviewee feel invested in and that they love. All that other stuff… it went on mental dump. I do remember often wondering if he spent a lot of time in the morning getting his hair to look like it did each day too, but he didn’t teach me that. Sadly, for Simon… my memory of stylistics in poetry fails me. But I do know what I like.
Weekly Indie Word Slinger – Simon Travers
Simon Traver’s is the Weekly Indie Word Slinger for the first week of February 2014. The author of Anatomy, a collection of poems and essays, published by Stackhouse Jones an independent publisher that Simon established himself. He’s a busy guy. Enough of me introducing him… I’ll let him tell you about himself.
Tongue Wagger – Forever & Always by Jasinda Wilder
I’m writing reviews while uploading back ups to my cloud storage, watching My Strange Addiction (This woman is drinking nail polish. HARDCORE!), I’m replying to emails and trying to stretch out the sore muscles of my shoulders and neck because I slept for forty trillion million hours and I feel like my body atrophied. This is the mind of hypomanic bipolar dynamo. Watch out guys and gals, I am gonna getchu getchu getchu. One way or another… I just totally channeled Blondie.
This was my first introduction to Jasinda Wilder and I found this book to sit somewhere between utterly compelling and disturbingly dark and troubling. Truthfully, I am not sure if I like it. I have no idea how I feel about it. There are things I know I know I thought were great plot wise, but the story as a whole… I just don’t know.

Book It – In News Today: Sara Wolf Says Savage Delight Date Will Be February 10, 2014
The long awaited second book in the Lovely Vicious Series by Sara Wolf is due to be released next week, February 10, 2014. The book that originally had a release date in January had been delayed due to the fact that Isis and Jack were getting along too well and Sara had to remind them that they weren’t in fact friends. Book two continues the angst filled tale of the two most joy handicapped teenagers ever to encounter one another and it promises to deliver the snark, wit, and cleverly creative phrases of distress of Isis Blake.
Makin’ The Love Monday – Scent of a Mate by Milly Taiden
Something smells good and I’m not so sure that it is my downstairs neighbor’s barbecue. This Makin’ the Love Monday is all about a man who isn’t afraid to stick his nose in his woman’s butt.
Did everyone else just hear a noise similar to that of a chorus of romance readers saying, “Huh?” Yeah, I heard it too. Let me allay your fears and theirs… this isn’t what you might be thinking.
I’m giving Milly Taiden a high five. Hell, I’m giving her two. I don’t know why I like shifter books, I just do. And Scent of a Mate was like sweet tea on a hot summer day. PERFECT. I might have a few points to pick later on regarding the convenience with the mates in the entire Sexy Four… but Aric and Jordan, give me a happy. And the butt sniffing is merely a formality.
