Tongue Wagger – Breaking a Legend by Sarah Robinson

Two things brought Breaking a Legend by Sarah Robinson to my attention:

1. The cover. I admit it, I am a total cover-whore. Who doesn’t like a muscled hunk flexing on a book cover?!
2. MMA fighters. They are sexy, they smash faces in. Okay, it’s not really the face smashing that does me in. But I do love me some MMA fight.

Big plus? The promise of more books. I love being sucked into a world and knowing that it won’t end just with the one book. That’s why I mostly read series.

Bone-and-Smoke-HeaderFirst installment in Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha Trilogy, Shadow and Bone introduces an alternate tsarist Russia, called Ravka, where people are called to serve their country either by displaying some affinity with magic (those are called Grisha) or by enrolling in the military.

Daughter of the Earth and Sky picks up where Persephone left off.
There wasn’t that much of a cliffhanger between the first two of books, but there was still some suspense that got unraveled in the course of the second book, flowing right into a MAJOR cliffhanger to the third installment, The Iron Queen – which sounds to me more Celtic, fairy inspired than Greek.
