The long awaited second book in the Lovely Vicious Series by Sara Wolf is due to be released next week, February 10, 2014. The book that originally had a release date in January had been delayed due to the fact that Isis and Jack were getting along too well and Sara had to remind them that they weren’t in fact friends. Book two continues the angst filled tale of the two most joy handicapped teenagers ever to encounter one another and it promises to deliver the snark, wit, and cleverly creative phrases of distress of Isis Blake.
Makin’ The Love Monday – Scent of a Mate by Milly Taiden
Something smells good and I’m not so sure that it is my downstairs neighbor’s barbecue. This Makin’ the Love Monday is all about a man who isn’t afraid to stick his nose in his woman’s butt.
Did everyone else just hear a noise similar to that of a chorus of romance readers saying, “Huh?” Yeah, I heard it too. Let me allay your fears and theirs… this isn’t what you might be thinking.
I’m giving Milly Taiden a high five. Hell, I’m giving her two. I don’t know why I like shifter books, I just do. And Scent of a Mate was like sweet tea on a hot summer day. PERFECT. I might have a few points to pick later on regarding the convenience with the mates in the entire Sexy Four… but Aric and Jordan, give me a happy. And the butt sniffing is merely a formality.
Hello~ Callin’ Indie Authors Lookin’ For Love!
For the NEW YEAR (Don’t ask why I felt the need to cap that) I am going to try something new on All The Things Inbetween and once a week all year I am going to feature an up and coming Indie Author so they can get a little bit more face time and maybe a couple more clicks to their website, a few more GR readers checking the synopsis of their books and a few more of their books a sellin’ wherever they might be sold.
Well, Ali–how are you going to try to do this?
I have an idea of how I want to format it out and I’d like to invite ANY Indie Author, all genres apply, interested to contact me to set it up. Utterly painless (other than that bit where you give me your soul and 40lbs of coffee).
There is another side of this shiny new feature, once I post these Indie Author pages, I am going to include the normal links to social media sites and websites as well as any new releases the author let’s me know is coming up. I will try to keep (as well as I can because this may morph into a poop can at a later date) links to that author’s reviews from other book review blogs. So if you have a book blog and you see I am featuring and author and you would like me to crosslink to you at the start it would be simple and you would either send me a message here or leave it as a comment in the post on this FB page. I am also open to talk about putting other blog badges on my site to advertise to blogs who are interested in supporting All The Things Inbetween.
You can see how at some point that might become a monster, I’m sure. While it’s manageable I would certainly like to try it.
If you have any desire to become part of this please leave a message below. So if you self-publish your own books and you would like the opportunity to have your face on the heading of page on my blog now is your chance!
And just to give any authors or bloggers out there an idea of the traffic I have coming to my blog so you can figure out if you are interested…My blog gets about 2600 pageviews a week so I’m not a huge site but I can help you out.

Weekly Indie Word Slinger Project 2014
As a little girl I never had any other dreams other than to one day be an author. Reading was something I began doing fairly young and I wrote little stories that popped up here and there in grade school. There was a small story about a duck that I my mom kept from a Spring Story Collection in third grade that might have been inspired but sadly lacked coherence. Let’s say I won’t be publishing it anywhere.
I came up with the Weekly Indie Word Slinger Project after doing a good deal of research for publishing my own novels. The amount of work involved sounded daunting, but when I looked at the forum discussions of people who had literary agents shopping the big six and those who were dealing with marketing people it left a terrible taste in my mouth. It didn’t sit well with me that someone could tell me to change my story to make it more palatable. It might make me sound narcissistic or inflexible but I write my stories the way I want them read. I don’t want someone telling me to change them to suit them. Not to mention that I don’t necessarily write with the intention to rake in the bottlecaps, I do it because I love it. I dream in full plots and I wake up writing down characters names and snippets of dialogue and settings. I feel passionate about it. It’s what I love. I don’t want someone telling me how they want me to write.
Book Boyfriend Report – Red Moon by Elizabeth Kelly
You know it’s between lunch and dinner and I’m feeling a little peckish. I don’t feel like having anything too sweet, nothing too beefy. No carbs. No fizzy sodas. I definitely don’t want something that is going to make me feel sleepy. Oh, I know the perfect yummy thing! Just the thing to melt on your tongue and fill your hands: Lycan Lord, Tristan Williams. He might fill you up, but it will feel so good while it’s happening and you will have no guilt afterward. =)
Book It – In News Today: Eliza Lloyd Releases From Now On, Book 2 Mad Duchesses Series
Eliza Lloyd releases her second novel in her Mad Duchesses Series, From Now On from Ellora’s Cave. This Mad Duchess novel follows the story of Sebastian Traynor and his rueful sorrow at turning his back on the love he shared with Grace when they were both young and full of promise. If he had acted then he may have saved her from her abusive husband who left her scarred and wounded in spirit. The only thing he can do now is to promise he won’t forsake their love again and convince her that there is no other woman for him.
Weekend Pick Me Up – The Divorced Not Dead Workshop by CeCe Osgood
This rom-com novel is written by this Weekly Indie Word Slinger–CeCe Osgood. The Divorced Not Dead Workshop is a humorous and insightful look at the weary world of the divorced yet hopeful heart. Considering that 50% of marriages in America end in the marriage crapper this book is not only relevant but more than likely easily relatable for many. If only more of us were inspired by alcohol to have ideas for workshops to de-suckify men instead of keying their cars and slinging eggs at their houses. I guess this is what separate the women from the girls doing community service–of course I’ve never hid from an ex under a table at the market, Ms. Bing.
Weekly Indie Word Slinger – CeCe Osgood
This week’s Word Slinger is CeCe Osgood, a woman who won herself a very special spot in my heart when she called me “MOE” in an email: Mighty Online Empress. Tell me that shouldn’t go to my head. She is the author of the insightfully comedic novel about the hated post stage of divorce–that state when all the other sex does is disappoint you, The Dead Not Divorced Workshop.
Tongue Wagger – Widow’s Walk by Genevieve Ash
I would like to thank Genevieve Ash and Laura from Ellora’s Cave for not sending the ire of the Angry Book Gods down upon my head on this one. I received this book and then I failed to put it on my Kindle at first. I put it on my Kindle and at the time I got it there I had more ARCs to read then I could possibly review during that week . So I finally got it done! I apologize.
Widow’s Walk is one of those novels that is achingly romantic… and sensuous… so sensuous.
