Michelle Lee’s Contemporary Romance, The Best Man, was released 02/13/2014 and is currently in it’s first week of a blog tour. The love story is about a fast-track attorney, Kassidy Marshall–who has more hang-ups than Nordstroms has hangers, and best friend and best man of the groom, Ryan Davis. Just in time for the month that celebrates “love” is a sweetheart story filled with sexual frustration and the close bonds of bffs.
The Best Man was a book I was lucky enough to receive as an ARC as part of the blog tour for Michelle Lee’s promotion for it’s release. The Book It – In News Today article for it is very pretty, if I do say so myself. DaYUM, I’m good, huh? The promo is to support the 02/13/2014 release and I took my time reading this book because I knew there was no great rush to have it finished ASAP. I think maybe it was because of that that I began to see certain things that I may not have seen otherwise.
Denise Grover Swank has released the Prologue Reveal of the third book in her Off The Subject Series, Business As Usual. The New Adult, College Romance series takes place on the campus of Southern University and has garnered a rather large following. This latest book stars the sister of book number two–Redesigned, hero, Reed Pendergraft. Lexi Pendergraft is about to meet her own hero, Ben Masterson, in Business As Usual. I have every hope that he will be one of those men who makes it his business to take care of sexy-fun-time-business.

Max Sullivan is all I want for Valentine’s Day! (Probably since my guy gave me the flu and told me he had been sick all week and it was all I was getting) This guy is tender, charming, really good at biding his time and holy kittenballs does his moves rank up there with the late, great… you know–I’m not going to compare him. He can just take his own category and we will put new guys names in under his.
Julie Richman’s final book in her Needing Moore Series will be released 02/21/2014 and it brings to us the final chapter of the tumultuous love affair of Mia Silver and Schooner Moore. The first two novels have told the story of their meeting and impact in one another’s life, lives apart and what has shaped them into the people they are. This last book’s synopsis eludes to a Mia and Schooner fighting to overcome their crap to reach for the golden ring in this last dramatic battle of the heart. This is an Erotic Romance to be shelved somewhere between New Adult and Adult with Sexy, I’ve-Got-Issues, Contemporary Fiction.
This week my Word Slinger is Motor Doll Lori Bentley Law. Lori is a pretty fascinating chick whose alter ego might strongly resemble the character Benny from her novel Motor Dolls. She is an author, photojournalist, Vintage car enthusiast and I’m pretty sure that she just might be a vigilante who is righting the wrongs of the world, but if she were to confirm that she might have to convince us that it is all just good weather in Belize. It’s all thumbs up in my book!
When I was a little girl I would watch Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley and I always wanted to be like those girls in the ponytails snapping their gum while they walked around all cool in their midcalf jeans and sleeveless button-up shirts trolling parking lots for the bad boys who rode motorcycles and drove fast cars and dished on babes. I wasn’t a Richie, Ralph or Potsie girl. I wasn’t really a Fonzie girl either, I thought he was a bit of a creeper. I liked the awful jerk guy that showed up with Pinky Tuscadero. (Looking back now… I clearly knew how to pick them even at a very young age) I do have a point to this trip down my TV memory lane and that is that Lori Bentley Law made me feel that same yearning to be the type of cool girl but only a better one, because the two characters in her book, Jeda and Benny were so effing AMAZEKITTENS!
Addison Moore’s third installment of her 3:AM Kisses Series, Sugar Kisses has just been released 02/11/2013. Sugar Kisses is the story of Roxy Capwell, sister to Ryder who is engaged to Roxy’s best friend Laney. Now Roxy is moving in with her other best friend, Baya’s brother Cole Brighton for crazy sexy times. Has this group become incredibly cellular or what? Personally, I don’t care if they all end up having babies with polydactyl hands and feet. I can’t wait to read the book because until those three eyed babies come out it’s all fun and games!
