Tijan Franchise Excerpt:

Taryn Lee’s Blog was before this stop!

A new person had come in late. A man stood there with fierce grey eyes, cheekbones that could’ve graced any magazine cover, and a lean form. Lines of stress were around his mouth and bags under his eyes, but he was alert. As he stood there, he grinned to the chef and said, “I got your notice today. Sorry I’m late.

The chef shrugged. “Well, you are undercover. It’s nice you could come.”

He inclined his head towards her, but the girl had sprinted to him by then. She threw her arms around him and leapt. He caught her, holding her for a moment. They didn’t kiss. It wasn’t that type of embrace. The girl held onto him as if he were going to disappear. Her hands clutched at his shoulders and as he held her, he closed his eyes, a blissful expression coming over him before he smoothed some of her hair from her forehead. Then, very slowly, he lowered his head so his forehead was resting atop of hers.

They remained like that for a few more beats before another guy had walked down from his seat, where he’d been sitting next to the girl. He had sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes. He waited, grinning and giving a nod in respect as the other guy lifted his head, and looked to him. Still holding the girl, he reached out a hand. The two males clasped each other’s hands and as they did, an understanding passed over everyone in the room. This was a heartfelt welcoming home, among all three of them.

“Taryn,” the grey eyes murmured. “Let me go so I can give your boyfriend a hug.”

She laughed, relinquishing her hold. As she stepped back, she wiped the corners of her eyes and gave both a watery grin. “Sorry. Yes. Hug away.”

The two males didn’t wait. Each wrapped a fisted hand around the other and clasped each other in a fierce and strong hug. There was no holding or lingering like the first hug, but it was obvious the two were happy to see the other. As they separated, the grey eyed one held up a hand towards the chef. He said, “Sorry. Proceed. We’ll sit and be quiet.”

The girl snorted. “Speak for yourself, Lanser. I’m giddy as fuck. I want a drink.”

From the table, a guy whispered, “That girl’s my soulmate.”

“Shut up, Logan. She’s taken,” a hiss came from beside him and he grunted a second later.

Meet Tijan:

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.
