Title: Like You Should (Devilbend Dynasty #3)
Author: Kaydence Snow
Genre: New Adult, High School, Suspense
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I thought I was digging Hendrix, and I do, but I’m crushing hard on Mr. Monroe. Easton, dude, do you have to be so hot and smexy?
Harlow Mead is a hot mess. She’s the anti-Donna. Not put together. Not doing well at school. Not type-A personality. Most likely to be stoned and playing video games. Most likely to be hacking into the school’s main-frame for the giggles. She’s eighteen, and in her mind, she’s going nowhere fast.
“Teenagers are all dumb, depraved, and disappointing.” – Easton Monroe, teacher extraordinaire.
Disenchanted and doing work that is killing his soul Easton trudges through his days. How he ended up blackmailed and caught up with Harlow is a long and unthinkable story, but soon this young woman is the exception to the rule.
This book is the least likely in realism, yet it’s the one I most enjoyed in this series. Chances of a blackmailing ring with ultimate power popping up in any neighborhood are less likely than I think this book suggests. I mean, I think it is. Mayhap I am wrong. The thing is, it was compelling, and I could not put the book down. I loved how Easton and Harlow were into one another, and it made me totally invested in the tale being told.
The whodunit was also a real kicker. You want to read this one.
I highly recommend it. This series gets better with each read.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.
