I want to help you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0I realized that my child was screaming in my arms. I moved the dragon over. He fought me at first snapping and whipping his tail. He wanted to be charge. I shoved past him so I could look at my child.<\/p>\n She. It was a girl. Tears stung my eyes. A girl. Just like Coy had said. I moved next to my dying mate. She was so weak, barely even breathing but I brought our child next to her.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a girl. You are always right. I hope you know that. I always knew you were right. She has my eyes though, a perfect mixture of you and me, just like you always said.\u201d<\/p>\n The stranger watched us, but he didn\u2019t make a sound or move. I appreciated that. In a while I would ask who he was, what he was doing here. Why he smelled the way he did. My dragon kept pushing at my mind and I almost let him through. It was becoming too hard to fight. I looked down at Coy. She had stopped moving all together when I told her it was girl.
