\"Judgement\"<\/a>I am very shallow when it comes to books. I see a pretty face and I’m all over it. Don’t get me wrong I’ve dated many books that were great who weren’t the most handsome or beautiful on the outside but I’m sure no one can debate the fact that when you are shopping the eye-stoppers are the ones that get you to read their stats\u00a0and get their digits\u00a0over that of the nice book with the bland cover every time. Don’t try to act like you have more depth than the rest of us–you are just as guilty as I am when it comes to a book with some gloss and smart design. If it’s dressed up like someone took care with it and spent time getting it ready you can tell\u00a0and you can’t help but look, even if you ARE happy with the book you are currently reading at the moment. Readers don’t mate for life with the books we meet so no one holds it against us when we slut ourselves around from book to book so don’t worry, peeps, no one is going to shame you for doing what comes natural. Look at those covers, baby!<\/p>\n

This weeks Sunday Confession is that I’m a cover slut edition. I often buy books without reading synopsis because I have that bipolar impulse control thing going AND because I can. It’s really convenient now that books don’t cost $10-$25 bucks a pop to buy books on spree and I glut on them without thinking a lot about it. David, I love him dearly and he has said the words any spouse who reads would long to hear, “I won’t ever begrudge you books”, which makes it easier for me to fill my coffers. Having an addiction to book shopping is a problem because I will NEVER read all the books I buy but I happily consider it as I am supporting the authors who I give money too and I do read and write reviews. But alas, my indulgence needs to be confessed; here are 16\u00a0of the books I’ve purchased\u00a0or received review copies for this year for which I am in love with the beautifulnificus of their covers!<\/p>\n
