\"Pageflex<\/a>Something smells good and I’m not so sure that it is my downstairs neighbor’s barbecue. This Makin’ the Love Monday is all about a man who isn’t afraid to stick his nose in his woman’s butt.<\/p>\n

Did everyone else just hear a noise similar to that of a chorus of romance readers saying, “Huh?” Yeah, I heard it too. Let me allay your fears and theirs… this isn’t what you might be thinking.<\/p>\n

I’m giving Milly Taiden a high five. Hell, I’m giving her two. I don’t know why I like shifter books, I just do. And Scent of a Mate<\/a> was like sweet tea on a hot summer day. PERFECT. I might have a few points to pick later on regarding the convenience with the mates in the entire Sexy Four… but Aric and Jordan, give me a happy. And the butt sniffing is merely a formality.<\/p>\n

Jordan Alvarez has been mooning over Aric Wolfe since she was went home with her new best friend Ellie and first saw her older wolfie brother there in all his hunky handsomeness. (Don’t think for one second I wasn’t going to take advantage of the wolf thing and not find a chance to throw in a “mooning”. I seek out every and any chance to pun. It’s what makes me better than all other people who use words plainly and without thought) Jordan has tried to push her wayward desires for him to the side and try for more accessible men but, for her, it always comes back to Aric. He’s what get her juicy juices all juicy.<\/p>\n

The eldest son, Aric is aware that he will one day take his father’s place in the Wolfe’s wolf pack as Alpha. It’s not just accepted, it’s fact. He has known for a good long time that Jordan would be at his side when it happened. During a traditional Scenting Ceremony when a wolf claims his mate, Aric finds her in the woods, \u00a0nearby the pack’s mating celebration, filming it. Seeing as she wants to know so much about what occurs between the couples he scents her, it’s time to claim his mate. Jordan doesn’t really respond like a female wolf would though when he sticks his snout in her rear end but really, she was the one who wanted to know. And she didn’t seem to react that disappointed when he put his wolfie nose in her crotch.<\/p>\n

Despite the initial scene at the Scenting Ceremony, all of this book is inferno level. Aric is of freaking incendiary hotness. Jordan does have a high occurrence of breakability to which he spends giving her comfort and care but even then, he is fifty different kinds of Baskin Robbin flavors of deliciousness. Jordan is a great heroine–although I really wish she had some sort of self-defense mechanism like a porcupine or skunk does. It would have been helpful if when she was attacked she gave off thumbtacks of Chanel #5 that got other wolves disoriented and disabled so she had the chance to get away before she constantly landed on this side of shaken and stirred.<\/p>\n

I loved the supporting characters in this book. Barbara, Aric’s mother was great and she’s a saucy minx that makes you love every scene she shows up in. I read the following book A Mate’s Bite<\/a> and I loved it just as much as this one although that convenience of mates thing… hmmmm. Sassy Mates Series is a go! I recommend it highly. Good for readers who enjoyed Suzanne Wright’s<\/a> Phoenix Pack Series<\/a>. Bayou Heat<\/a> by Alexandra Ivy<\/a>. Mating Fever<\/a> by Celeste Anwar<\/a>. Give this a read. You! I mean, You. Yeah, You!<\/p>\n
