For people who aren’t familiar with your book, what genre is Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?<\/strong>
Lol it’s all over the place. I mainly consider it A Coming of Age Fairy Tale Adaptation. But it has just about everything besides SciFi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WAoTBBW is a spin-off from your previous series, Gods & Monsters. Could you explain where the characters of Kylie Hood and Logan Grimm come from and who they are?<\/strong>
Ooh, you have to keep reading to find out. The big reveal comes in book 3 of the Big Bad Wolf Trilogy. It’s a huge twist when you read all of my books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have not read Gods & Monsters yet, but could you tell me what cross-over characters appear in WAoTBBW, and why should we know them?\u00a0<\/strong>
Gosh, there are too many to name. I’ll say every “soul” WAotBBW\u00a0comes from G&M. Readers love finding out as they read. Some know right away who is who and others are stumped, but I do clarify in WAotBBW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

You use fairy tales in this book to frame the plot and subplots. What is it about fairy tales that no matter how many times we hear these stories, they never lose their magic?<\/strong>
I think it’s simply that every person has a different perspective, and when we get older, our perspectives change. One thing I’ve learned while writing is how little younger readers seem to know about the original tales. Many have no idea that they are actually dark stories and base their knowledge on Disney animation or romanticized adaptations. So it’s been interesting to open up their minds that there really was true magic when the original stories were told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kylie Hood deals with an incredibly awful family situation. I know she has a hard time helping herself, but what do you think she would say to someone reading your book who lives with similar abuse?<\/strong>
Well, Kylie as she’s presented in book one has a very narrow view of her situation. Readers have yet to learn how she’s actually dealing with it all, what her plans for the future are, or the details of what’s actually happening. So, from me, I’ll just say that anyone who is experiencing any type of abuse should remember that it’s possible to still glow even when it’s dark. You’re a warrior, a survivor. Never forget that and never be afraid to ask for help. Especially try to open your eyes and really look at those around you. It’s so often people feel alone or forgotten, but you’re not alone and it’s impossible to forget you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
